Wimberley EMS

EMS Services

Wimberley EMS provides 911 emergency medical response to Wimberley and the surrounding Wimberley valley.

Our paramedics cover more than 150 square miles of western Hays County which includes the communities of Wimberley, Woodcreek and portions of Driftwood and rural San Marcos.

We serve an estimated population of 16,000 with 16 full time staff including 12 paramedics.

At this time Wimberley EMS is not available for non-emergency transport and refer all non-emergency requests to Southern Cross Ambulance service who can be reached at 1-800-469-0911

We transport patients to area hospitals in San Marcos, New Braunfels, Kyle, and Austin.  Our patients may request the hospital of their preference but the ultimate decision is made by the attending medics.

Patient safety is our priority and we will always deliver our patients to the closest appropriate hospital which is determined by the needs and condition of the patient.

In The Community

We feel that it is important to be active in our community and we have always made that a top priority.

Wimberley EMS proudly provides important emergency standby services for Wimberley Market Days, Wimberley Texans football and other sporting events, the Wimberley VFW Rodeos and many more events.

Additionally, we teach CPR and First Aid classes and partner with local hospitals to bring community education classes to Wimberley. If you need CPR or First Aid classes use the contact form or email ems@wimberleyems.com.

As part of our community outreach, Wimberley EMS participates in the annual 4th of July parade, as well as many wellness and health fairs throughout the year.

Our annual Duck Race fundraiser at The Waters Point brings the entire community together in support of our work in a family-friendly event.

Your Donation

Wimberley EMS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity and relies on public support as well as property tax revenue to provide current and future services.

There are multiple ways you can partner with us to achieve our goal of providing the finest emergency medical services to citizens and visitors to the Wimberley Valley.

Besides private and business donations, we host our annual Duck Race fundraiser.

Our 2020 Capital Campaign was initiated to provide a new, modern station that will provide more equipment, additional sleeping quarters and an additional bay for our future ambulance needs.  We are grateful that we were able to meet these needs through donations from our community!
