Duck Race
The Wimberley EMS Duck Race is our single largest fundraiser. It is a fun filled and family oriented day. For "$5 bucks a duck" you can sponsor your very own rubber racing duck. Every year hundreds of these rubber racing ducks are released and the top 3 ducks and 1 "Lame duck" are awarded cash prizes. The money from this wonderful event is used to bring lifesaving equipment to the communities we serve, such as AED's, radio equipment, and GPS mapping equipment among others. Please join us to support your EMS service and the Wimberley Valley area.
Date: May 21, 2011
Time: Opens at 10:00 a.m. and ducks will run sometime after 11:00 a.m.
Location: Rio Bonito Resort
Ducks will run on the 21st RAIN or SHINE!
Ducks are $5.00 each and can be purchased most afternoons at Brookshire Brothers or by contacting the EMS office.
